Since Donald Trump has taken office he has rushed to implement Project 2025, doing his best to overwhelm any opposition that may arise in other areas of our government. The Republicans in Congress have been rolling over for him, approving of his actions, giving little care to providing the checks and balances that were woven into our form of government. It has been left to the judicial branch to stand up against his attempts to consolidate power. So far.
At the moment I am only looking at the domestic fallout from Trump’s actions. This is only a small sample. You may want to read some of the comments that have been left under these videos.

And whom precisely will you be resisting?
"Elon Musk is not the leader of DOGE — the mysterious Trump
administration operation overseeing an effort to break and
remake the federal bureaucracy. In fact, he’s not even
technically part of it at all, the White House said in court
papers Monday night.
"In a three-page declaration, a top White House personnel
official revealed that Musk’s title is ‛senior adviser to the
president,’ a role in which he has ‛no actual or formal
authority to make government decisions himself.’"

Those who seek to tear this country apart, either unintentionally or intentionally, both foreign and domestic.

Thank you for confirming his actions are not lawful. Who does have the power of the purse strings?
"Who does have the power of the purse strings?"
Theoretically, the Congress; specifically, the House of Representatives must propose all federal spending, then it has to pass the Congress.
But it's just this "power of the purse" that Trump 2.0 has claimed authority to usurp. I'm not sure what the Federalist Society's position is going to be on that claim of Constitutional revision. They very well may approve the power for Trump.
The Trump administration's talks with Putin regarding the fate of Ukraine appear to have not gone well from Trump's point of view. The parties have "exchanged positions" and agreed to attempt to accommodate one another's interests, and Trump's envoys have been sent home to further contemplate what further concessions to Putin Trump is now willing to offer.
Trump has decided to telegraph his further concessions to Putin from posts on his own "Truth Social" propaganda network. Basically he's doubling down on groveling before Putin, adopting any and all talking points he thinks likely to get him some favorable word from out of Putin's Russia.
Ain't lookin' good for the Ukrainians.
Zelenskii said Trump is living in a disinformation space. He had that wrong, Trump is the disinformation space.
The military is on the chopping block next. Maybe one of Trump's concessions to Putin.
We used to tar and feather traitors, not elect them president.
"We used to tar and feather traitors, not elect them president."
Yeah, well; that was then.
"The military is on the chopping block next."
Things have been going fairly well for Trump and for his dedicated Trumpkins, so far at least. This may be as good a time as any for him to bring the military to heel. (I.e: Before the government shutdown that will occur if the Trumpkan/Republicans can't get a plan together to set out a fixed 2025 budget outline--which plan is due middle of March, latest.)
The latest polls are suggesting that the honeymoon for Trump may be fading a little. When his actions start to bite that sentiment may excelorate.
Negative public opinion polls will not dissuade Trump from seizing and holding on to power, not once he's brought the military to heel.
It strikes me that this is all happening earlier than might be expected with climate change ramifications.
That is, the fight over resources and the authoritarian remaking if a major democracy. Of course, Trump is not capable of dealing with anything like climate change. He will only make it worse. Glad I will not have to live a lifetime in his world.
I made sure I filed my tax return early because I was expecting the bloodbath that happened today. They fired 6,000 today at the IRS.
There is a saying that comes to mind, "never mess with the IRS."
Anyway, I got my refund today. I might be one of the lucky ones.
Abolish the IRS and raise revenue through tariffs. That is our Dear Leader's brilliant idea.
And the morons in the so called Republican Party roll over for this asshole.
Trump believes that if he can do away with the notice that appears on every paycheck (to the effect that $XX.xx have been deducted from the worker's gross pay) then he can sell them later on the notion that he did away with their taxes for them.
He thinks the average American is stupid enough to fall for that line. He may be right.
Indeed, I have not been impressed with the average American's intellectual ability lately.
